All are welcome to join us for a cooked dinner incorporating freshly prepared food using surplus from local supermarkets. Pay what you feel the food is worth and what you can afford!

About the Café
The pay-as-you-feel café was set up in 2017 in response to the huge amount of perfectly good surplus food being thrown away by local supermarkets. In collaboration with local charity Aber Food Surplus a few volunteers from the church began using the surplus food to prepare delicious and nutritious meals for the local community. (There are currently 20 volunteers and between us we are cooking a meal twice a week for up to 35 people).
Our aim is to offer a warm, welcoming environment, including a hot and nutritious meal to people in our local community. Payment is on a pay-as-you-feel basis to ensure that no-one is excluded by being unable to pay.

Warm Spaces
Both our churches in Aberystwyth and Lampeter are registered with the national Warm Hub Network and with Connect Ceredigion’s Warm Spaces project (link).

St Paul’s is an official Warm Space, offering warmth and hospitality during the Pay As You Feel Café on a Tuesday and Thursday (11am-2pm) and at Games Night on a Friday (7-9pm).

St Thomas' Methodist Church

St Thomas offers a warm, welcoming and social space with the Tuesday Coffee morning. Serving tea, coffee and biscuits (10am-12pm)
Community Space and Venue Hire
Throughout the week our buildings are home to many activities and events - both from within our churches and from a wide range of community users.
We have a selection of rooms and spaces available to hire at both churches.
